Session description: We’re all familiar with the online books, articles and videos in our library collections, but what often gets less attention is our online audio content. Within our databases there is a wide variety of audio content that we can promote to our students, staff and faculty! In this lightning talk, attendees will be introduced to a Creative Commons-licensed LibGuide which details how students, staff and faculty can access and use audio content in their library collections, including audiobooks, original audio content (such as music, radio broadcasts and podcasts) and articles that can be read aloud using text-to-speech players. This session will highlight the audio resources available in library collections and how they support Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to...
Identify and access the online audio content available in library databases
Access and (potentially) reuse Centennial’s Creative Commons-licensed Audio Library Guide
