Session description: Peer-to-peer learning in post-secondary education has rapidly become an established pedagogy. In response to student demand for more peer-to-peer learning opportunities in the library, Seneca Libraries launched the Library & Learning Centre Student Rep Program in the summer of 2022.  

This session will present what we have learned in the past year about the power of direct student engagement when developing library programs and services, using a combination of student worker interviews and staff analysis. We will discuss the benefits of mentoring relationships to both staff and students, as well as the strengths, challenges, and future of the L&L program.
